[New Brunswick, Canada] - Rising Canadian metal act Direwolf release their debut music video “Thunder Calls” on October 17, 2025 - a track that has already presented itself as one of the band’s heaviest and catchiest singles.
The video released on October 18, 2025, captures the intensity and feral energy that have become Direwolf’s signature. With big, crushing riffs, pounding drums, and an electrifying performance caught on film, the “Thunder Calls” video places the spotlight on the band’s ferocity and stage presence, setting the tone for what’s to come.
“Thunder Calls” marked the beginning of Direwolf’s wave of singles throughout 2025, each one carving their name deeper into the East Coast metal scene. Now, the release of their first official music video takes things to the next level, giving fans a glimpse into the band’s energy and intensity in sound and vision.
Direwolf have also announced that their debut full-length album ‘Gods Can Die’ will be released worldwide on November 7, 2025. The album presents a punishing fusion of anger and melody, with splashes of old-school thrash mixed with modern metal, and a deep focus on catchy earworm songs that can stand the test of time. Carrying forward the energy of singles like “Thunder Calls,” “Throes of Man,” “Penance,” and “Pride”, ‘Gods Can Die’ promises to tear the listener to shreds and leave them wanting more.
“Releasing the Thunder Calls music video is another big step for us” says frontman Taylor Sheasgreen. “We laid the groundwork for all of this months ago - maybe a year ago now. And we’re constantly laying foundations, and making bigger and bigger plans for the future of Direwolf. Now, our eyes are set on releasing Gods Can Die, and we can’t wait to finally share it with everyone.”
Fans can watch the “Thunder Calls” video on YouTube starting October 17, 2025, and stream the single on all major platforms. Gods Can Die will be available everywhere November 7, 2025.

The Direwolf onslaught continues with their 4th single: 'Pride'
[New Brunswick, Canada] - “Pride” is another perfect example of the Direwolf sound - powerful, aggressive, but consumable. The track channels something primal - a surge of raw energy surrounded by sharp edges and buried instincts. It moves fast, hits hard, and leaves scars. Beneath the chest-beating and the chaos lies something deeper:a moment of clarity in the noise. It doesn't explain itself because it doesn’t need to. It simply bares its teeth and dares you to flinch.
“Pride” marks the final single in the band’s four-track rollout ahead of their upcoming debut LP, due for release on 07/11/2025. Following the buzz of “Thunder Calls,” “Throes of Man,” and “Penance,” the band has steadily built momentum through a grassroots DIY approach, earning playlist adds, radio features, and growing support from both fans and press.
With the release of “Pride” and a full-length album around the corner, Direwolf continues to carve their path through the Maritimes with their teeth bared and their eyes fixed on the kill. The howls are only getting louder, and Direwolf have locked their jaws and refuse to let go.

Direwolf Summon 3rd Single: ‘Penance’
[New Brunswick, Canada] - If Thunder Calls was the spark, and Throes of Man was the fire, then Penance is the out-of-control flamethrower. Clocking in with speed, sinister riffs, and punishing instrumentals, Penance leans hard into Direwolf’s thrash and metalcore roots. The track is technical, relentless, but still maintains the signature ‘heavy-but-catchy’ quality that Direwolf is quickly becoming known for.
Direwolf continues to carve their path on the East Coast with a sound that fuses the raw fury of old-school thrash with the crushing weight of modern metal. With themes of guilt, retribution, and damnation, Penance is both a confession and a curse. It's the kind of track that begs to be played loud, backwards, and possibly in a circle of salt.
With a 4th single around the corner, followed by a full-length album, Direwolf continues to function as a fully independent and self-produced band, hell-bent on making the ground move on their own terms. With momentum building and a full record on the horizon, Penance marks another fierce step forward.

Direwolf Release 2nd Single: ‘Throes of Man’
[New Brunswick, Canada] - Classic thrash metal collides with melodic, modern aggression. Throes of Man sets the tone as the opening track of the upcoming Direwolf record — a relentless, riff-heavy barrage laced with massive hooks, breakdowns, and undeniable energy. The track showcases the band’s signature balance of intensity and accessibility, continuing to prove that Direwolf is here to shake up the metal landscape.
Consisting of two members of East Coast rock heavyweights The Motorleague, Direwolf brings seasoned experience and a fresh vision to heavy metal. Entirely self-funded and independently produced, the band is making noise on their own terms, and it’s only getting louder.
With two more singles and accompanying videos slated for release before the album drops, Direwolf is showing no signs of slowing down.
